Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Neochron (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

1. Who We Are

Neochron is a UK-based blockchain provenance service. Contact us at [email protected].

2. Data We Collect

Contact enquiries

When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. This is processed via Formspree (see Third Parties).

Payment data

Payments for Starter Packs and provenance entries are processed by PayPal. We do not store card or bank details — all payment data is held by PayPal under their privacy policy.

Blockchain data

Provenance records you submit are written permanently to the Ethereum blockchain. Blockchain records are public by design and cannot be deleted by us or anyone else. Before submitting an entry, please ensure you are comfortable with it being permanently and publicly visible.

Usage data

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect anonymised traffic data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use additional analytics or tracking tools.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to your enquiry or service request
  • To process and fulfil your order (Starter Pack dispatch, provenance entry)
  • To send order and entry confirmation emails
  • With your consent: occasional news and offers about the service

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Processors

5. Data Retention

Contact enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months. Order records may be kept for up to 7 years for accounting purposes. Blockchain data is permanent and cannot be deleted.

6. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data (blockchain records cannot be deleted)
  • Restriction — request we limit how we use your data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to processing for direct marketing
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
